Dudleya blochmaniae

Blochman's dudleya

Family: Crassulaceae · Type: perennial · Native

Blochman's dudleya is a California native perennial found in coastal regions on rocky outcrops and grasslands. Flowering from April to June, this succulent produces delicate white flowers with subtle red-lined keels, clustered in small inflorescences. Growing in tight rosettes 0.5 to 7 centimeters wide, it develops deciduous leaves that turn purple-red at the base during summer. Its leaves are oblanceolate to club-shaped, 1 to 6 centimeters long with acute to rounded tips, creating a compact and intricate succulent form. The plant produces spreading fruits after its brief but elegant flowering period.
