Streamside daisy is a California native perennial found in the Klamath Ranges and northern Coast Ranges in dry slopes and rocky river ledges at elevations below 1,100 meters. Flowering from June to September, this plant produces white flower heads with purple-tipped inner phyllaries in clusters 12 to 15 millimeters wide. Growing with ascending to erect stems 30 to 90 centimeters tall, it develops from a woody base and branches toward the stem tips. Its narrow oblanceolate leaves are 2 to 4 centimeters long, sparsely bristly with dense glandular surfaces. The plant forms multiple flower heads with distinctive glandular, graduated phyllary series.
