Brewer's monkeyflower is a California native annual found in northwestern California, Cascade Ranges, Sierra Nevada, southern Coast Ranges, Transverse Ranges, San Jacinto Mountains, and Modoc Plateau in moist stream and seepage habitats at elevations of 1,200 to 3,400 meters. Flowering from June to August, this delicate plant produces pink to lavender flowers with small, ascending pedicels. Growing 3 to 21 centimeters tall with a somewhat hairy structure, it forms compact clusters in wet mountain environments. Its leaves are narrow, measuring 3 to 35 millimeters long, with a linear shape that complements its slender growth habit. The small flowers feature equal calyx lobes and a persistent corolla tube measuring 4.5 to 8 millimeters long.
