Flowering from May to June, this delicate plant produces white to pale pink flowers with widely funnel-shaped corollas 5 to 7.5 millimeters long. Growing with slender stems 4 to 20 centimeters tall and upper stems less than 1 millimeter wide, it forms compact clusters in disturbed or recently burned landscapes. Its small leaves measure 6 to 13 millimeters long, complementing the plant's delicate structure. The flower bracts range from 4 to 10 millimeters, adding to its subtle botanical charm.
