Niles' harmonia is a rare (CNPS 1B.1) California native annual found in southern Klamath Ranges on serpentine slopes at elevations of 800 to 1,600 meters. Flowering from May to June, this plant produces white ray flowers 2.5 to 7 millimeters long with delicate soft-hairy phyllaries. Growing 9 to 40 centimeters tall with an unbranched central stem and branching structure supporting flower heads, it has leaves distributed evenly along the stem. Its leaves are approximately equally distributed, creating a uniform appearance across the plant's structure. The flower heads are generally erect in bud and fruit, with 4 to 8 ray flowers and 8 to 20 disk flowers.
