Apple is a naturalized tree found in the California Floristic Province in disturbed places at elevations below 2,080 meters. Flowering from April to May, this tree produces white or pink flowers with delicate petals. Growing with a spreading form and multiple branches, it reaches heights of 4 to 10 meters in cultivated settings. Its leaves are elliptical to widely ovate, measuring 5 to 11 centimeters long with petioles 10 to 40 millimeters in length. The fruit develops on pedicels 10 to 25 millimeters long, offering a characteristic round shape typical of cultivated apple varieties.
