Angle leafed miterwort is a California native perennial found in the Klamath Ranges, northern Coast Ranges, northern California Coast Ranges, and northern Sierra Nevada at elevations of 1,000 to 2,000 meters in moist woodland and streambank habitats. Flowering from April to July, this plant produces white to light pink flowers with acute-tipped petals in delicate clusters. Growing 20 to 50 centimeters tall with an upright form, it develops slender stems that support its distinctive foliage. Its leaves are notably broad, measuring 3 to 6 centimeters wide with 5 to 7 distinctive lobes that create an intricate, angular appearance. The plant's small hypanthium measures 2.5 to 3.5 millimeters wide, adding to its delicate botanical structure.
