Brewer's miterwort is a California native perennial found in the southern Cascade Range and Sierra Nevada Highlands on moist slopes at elevations of 1,500 to 3,500 meters. Flowering from May to September, this plant produces yellow-green flowers with 5 to 9 linear lobes. Growing 10 to 30 centimeters tall with delicate stems, it develops rounded leaves approximately 3 to 8 centimeters wide with 7 to 11 subtle lobes and softly rounded teeth. Its leaves have a slightly kidney-shaped base and smooth to slightly hairy leaf stalks. The flowers feature petals arranged opposite each other with stamens alternating between the petal positions.
