Brachypodium hybridum (Hybrid falsebrome) is a non-native California grass in the Poaceae (Gramineae) family.
Hybrid falsebrome is a non-native annual grass found in the southern Klamath, southern North Coast, southern Cascade Range foothills, Sierra Nevada, Great Valley, Central Coast, South Coast, Channel Islands, Western Transverse, Peninsular, and Sonoran Desert bioregions in disturbed areas and on dry slopes at elevations below 900 meters. Flowering from April to July, it forms loose tufts 15 to 40 centimeters tall with decumbent to erect stems showing conspicuously pubescent nodes, bearing laterally compressed spikelets with long, slender awns 4 to 17 millimeters long.
