Chenopodium eastwoodiae is a California native found in the Sierra Nevada High and the western edge of the Great Basin and Sierra Nevada East bioregions, growing in disturbed sites, sagebrush scrub, and pine forest between 2,000 and 3,500 meters elevation. Flowering from July to September, it forms an erect, many-branched plant to about 80 centimeters with powdery, lance-shaped to sickle-shaped leaves and small obovate, keeled sepals that leave the fruit exposed at maturity.
